As a native of Denver, Colorado, Tammy has a personal passion for children impacted by divorce and remarriage. NARME Pre-Conference Training

(Register at NARME.org) For professionals who work with complex relationships and families, this is a deep dive of what kids and parents experience through divorce and the divide of the family as well as the unique challenges in step families. Explore co-parenting after divorce, with never married parents and with step parents in a comprehensive look at the "One Heart, Two Homes" digital curriculum (includes 31 guest experts including Ron Deal, Dr. John Trent, Jeff Kemp, Brian Blomberg, Dr. Chris Gonzalez, Dr. Jeff Shears, Dr. Roy Smith, Dr. Tony Wheeler and many others).

The digital resource can be utilized in its entirety or in short segments; some use it in one-on-one counseling, others use the digital content for 2 hour or 4 hour seminars, while others enjoy using the videos and workbooks to lead small groups. The intent was to help professionals support families in a variety of platforms in local and statewide communities, all with the same set of tools.

The digital content can be used in most states to also satisfy the co-parent class required for divorcing parents (we will give example of who is doing this and how to explore the option in your local area). This training of 7.5 hours can be applied to the (optional) full 10 hour certification training. A confirmation of attendance will be given for the 7.5 hours and individuals interested in completing the 2.5 hours will have an option to do this via the web at a future date with an additional fee.

If interested, attendees can pre-order the 31 short videos and the leaders' guide and sample workbook that go with the full training and it will be given out on-site at NAMRE. For details on costs please contact Tammy Daughtry at 615.871.4264 or send an email request (**write NARME 2019 in subject line) to Tammy@CoparentingInternational.com.

Rise of the Divided Family and Its Impact on Youth & Addiction

(Register at NARME.org) With the rise of the divided family, young people often get caught in patterns of addiction as an escape from high conflict parents. This happens inside the home and after divorce and in remarriage. This workshop will explore some of the common roots to the issue of kids impacted by divorce who turn to addiction as a way out of the pain.

We will also take a look at research and today's pop culture and media with a goal of increasing compassion and understanding for those clients and organizations we serve. This workshop will include digital videos and a chance to review new resources to help with these issues. For those that attend they will be given access to multiple handouts for complimentary use with their clients and audiences.
